Description

Did you know over 80% of Arvada's workforce live outside of Arvada? Over 40% of Arvada's workers commute more than 30 minutes one way to their place of employment. Businesses are noticing more and more that cost of housing and long commute times are impacting their ability to recruit and retain top talent. Are there opportunities for businesses to get involved?

Access to housing for the region's workforce has become everyone's business.

Join a half-day, informative event for business al all sizes and industries to learn, connect, and share together. Learn from housing partners, regional businesses, and elected officials about how businesses can support access to income-aligned housing for their workforce. Businesses can play a pivotal role in expanding access to housing through advocacy, investments, and key partnerships.

Keynote Speaker:

  • Alison George (Executive Director of the Division of Housing at the Colorado Department of Local Affairs) to speak on the role of business in housing and options for business to support access to income-aligned housing for their workforce.
Housing Advocacy Panel:
  • Senator Rachel Zenzinger
  • Arvada Councilwoman Sharon Davis
  • Liz Kistler (CEO, Equalized Productions)

Employers will then have the opportunity to give feedback on needed resources in the 2025 Employer Housing Toolkit to support access to income-aligned housing for their workforce.
Closing - Investing in Local Solutions:
