Maybe you love drinking coffee and chai, but have you ever considered cooking with these delicious ingredients? Join Chef Elizabeth Buckingham for this fun class where we'll talk about different types of coffee and chai and how they can be used to add smoky, earthy and spicy notes to both sweet and savory dishes. We'll make and taste Bison Chili, Coffee-Bourbon Barbecue Sauce, Chai Shortbread with Sea Salt and Chile-Espresso Pots de Crème. You'll never drink coffee or chai the same way again! Generous samples and wine served; this class is great for a date night out! Registration is $18 per person; limit of 30 participants. Chef Elizabeth Buckingham is a Colorado native; she earned her culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu Paris. A spontaneous scuba diving trip to the Bahamas following her graduation led to the next eight years of her career: she cooked aboard dive boats and later progressed to head chef aboard private yachts worldwide. In 2009, Elizabeth returned to Colorado with her husband, Nicholas, and started her own private chef venture, Moveable Feast Colorado. Elizabeth teaches public and private cooking classes in the Denver area and offers corporate recipe development and trade-show services to her clients. Elizabeth is also a certified Master Gardener and runs a small urban homestead complete with bees, chickens and a large vegetable garden. She is an avid canner and preserver, a passionate advocate of local food, and she thinks everyone should know how to cook at least a little.
