Maitri Yoga Hosts Hurricane Harvey Fundraiser “Chant for Charity”

Maitri Yoga, an award-winning yoga studio focused on community and a holistic study of yoga: mind, body and spirit, announces and invites you to their Hurricane Harvey Fundraiser “Chant for Charity”, Friday, September 8 from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the Arvada studio location with a goal of raising $5,000 to be donated to Mercury One’s Hurricane Harvey support team. 5:00 – 6:15 p.m. - Donation All-Levels-Welcome Hatha Yoga Class Taught by Val Brown a seasoned yoga teacher and a level one Ayurvedic practitioner, this free class will be accessible for all levels of yoga students. 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Community Food and Beverage Donated by Yak & Yeti and Maharishi Following yoga class, food and beverage will be provided for guests to enjoy. Get to know your neighbors and nourish the body with delicious food and drinks. 7:30 – 8:00 p.m. – Kirtan Chant & Meditation Lead by Mindy Arbuckle, founder of Maitri Yoga, we will come together in community to send healing thoughts and prayers in a 1 hour kirtan chant and meditation circle. Kirtan is chanting from the heart that connects at every level.
